Job Description

The Auto Glass Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality auto glass repair, replacement, and calibration services while providing an exceptional customer experience. This role offers the opportunity to work in shop locations, airport rental facilities, or as a mobile technician. The Auto Glass Technician plays a critical role in ensuring vehicle safety, accuracy of installations, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

• Install and replace windshields and other automotive glass in shop or mobile settings

• Repair chips, cracks, and other types of glass damage

• Calibrate vehicle electronics, including ADAS, lane departure warning, and forward collision alert systems

• Interact with customers to explain services and ensure satisfaction

• Process payments for mobile service customers

• Maintain a professional appearance and positive, service-oriented attitude

• Provide world-class customer service to customers and vendors

• Follow safety standards, technical specifications, and quality guidelines

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of automotive glass installation experience

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check

• Proficiency working with various types of automotive glass

• Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in glass repair and replacement

• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and specifications

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Must meet minimum age requirements as applicable

• Comfortable with physical demands of the role

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to maneuver safely around vehicles during installations

• Capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods

• Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions when required
