General Manager

Job Description:

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all gym operations to ensure an outstanding member experience while driving financial success. This role leads the club team in a positive, motivating, and non-judgmental environment, with a strong focus on operations, sales performance, and team development. The General Manager plays a critical role in building a strong culture, achieving key business metrics, and maintaining high facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, interview, and hire managers and team members to build a strong club team

• Directly manage staff, including scheduling and assigning responsibilities

• Oversee team training standards and coach staff to improve sales performance

• Conduct team meetings and set performance goals

• Drive business growth through sales leadership and operational excellence

• Resolve member inquiries and concerns in a timely, professional manner

• Monitor team performance to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Ensure the facility is clean and maintained to brand standards

• Manage payroll, labor scheduling, and staffing levels

• Maintain knowledge of all club offerings, amenities, and equipment

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards

• Monitor inventory and oversee retail sales processes

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of fitness facility management experience

• Experience supervising and developing a team

• Knowledge of business operations, including finance, administration, and labor management

• CPR/AED certification

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Understanding of key business metrics that drive gym performance

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software

• Reports directly to the Regional Operations Director and President

• Works in collaboration with the Fit Fusion management team
