Position Summary

The Operations Manager ensures that all aspects of daily gym operations run smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing the front desk, maintenance, cleanliness, and member experience, while maintaining a strong culture of customer service and team accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Club Operations

• Oversee daily operational activities, including opening/closing procedures, maintenance, and cleanliness standards

• Ensure compliance with safety, emergency, and security procedures

• Perform regular walk-throughs to inspect facility standards and address issues promptly

• Work closely with the Maintenance and Janitorial staff to ensure timely repairs and upkeep

Team Leadership

• Supervise, schedule, and train front desk and operations support staff

• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide performance feedback

• Maintain high team morale, professionalism, and alignment with Crunch values

• Address employee concerns and coordinate staffing needs with the General Manager

Customer Service

• Resolve member issues, complaints, and requests with professionalism and care

• Ensure front desk team delivers excellent service and maintains accurate member data

• Handle escalated service issues and follow up to ensure member satisfaction

Financial Oversight

• Assist in managing club budgets and controlling operational expenses

• Monitor inventory and order necessary supplies within approved budgets

• Support the General Manager in payroll and financial reporting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in fitness, retail, hospitality, or related industries

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Tech-savvy with basic proficiency in scheduling, POS, and CRM systems

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred

• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
